别名:葛署、粉葛、野葛、野葛藤、葛条、粉葛滕。
葛根（Lobed Kudzuvine Root）为藤本植物野葛的块根。
表面褐色，具纵皱纹，可见横向皮孔和不规则的须根痕。质坚实，断面粗糙，黄白色。纤维性强，略具粉性。气微、味微甜。 - 性味归经:
甘，辛，凉；归脾，胃经。
- 功效特点:
具有滋身健体、抗衰老、降压、降糖、降脂、增加皮肤弹性、润肤，解肌退热，生津止渴，透发麻疹，升阳止泻等功效，女性常吃葛根，可以促使胸部发育增大。
用于外感发热，头项强痛，麻疹初起，疹出不畅，温病口渴，消渴病，泄泻，痢疾，高血压，冠心病，酒毒，胸痹心痛等病症。 - 古籍记载:
《别录》:疗伤寒中风头痛，解肌，发表，出汗，开腠理。疗金疮，止痛，胁风痛。生根汁，疗消渴，伤寒壮热。
《神农本草经》谓葛根“主消渴，身大热，呕吐，诸痹，起阴气，解诸毒。” - 常规用量:
内服:煎汤，10-15g，大剂量15～30g。外用适量，捣敷。
- 注意事项:
对低血压和心动过缓的患者，还宜谨慎使用。
