山楂为蔷薇科，苹果亚科植物山里红或山楂的干燥成熟果实。
山楂干:是将山楂果切片后晾干而成的，质硬，果肉薄，味微酸涩。
性味归经:
酸，甘，微温；归脾，胃经。
功效特点:
有消食健胃，活血散瘀的功效。
用于肉食滞积，症瘕积聚，腹胀痞满，瘀阻腹痛，泄泻等。
能防治心血管疾病，具有扩张血管、强心、增加冠脉血流量、改善心脏活力、兴奋中枢神经系统、降低血压和胆固醇。
古籍记载:
《食鉴本草》:化血块，气块，活血。
《本草再新》:治脾虚湿热，消食磨积，利大小便。
常规用量:
生食，水煎，或榨汁服。10~15g，大剂量可用15~30g。
注意事项:
不能空腹吃；孕妇、脾胃虚弱者忌服。
食物相克:山楂不宜于海鲜、人参、柠檬同食。
