Barbed Skullcap Herb 半枝莲

Barbed Skullcap Herb (半枝莲) features a yellowish-green to purplish-brown appearance with a smooth surface and soft texture. The stems are fibrous and hollow, while the leaves are naturally curled and delicate. Flower spikes appear at the branch tips with a yellowish-green color. It has a mild herbal aroma and a slightly salty, bitter taste.

 

Nature & Flavor: Pungent, bitter, and slightly cooling.

Traditionally used in herbal preparations to help clear heat, support wellness balance, promote fluid circulation, and maintain herbal harmony.

 

Suggested Preparation: 

Traditionally prepared in herbal decoctions using approximately 15–30g. Fresh herbs may also be used externally according to traditional practices.
